:confused:Was wondering if anyone knew where you could
get a bigger fuel tank for a crew cab chevy?
I've rigged a transfer tank up in the past in the box & would like to get away from this so I could put a topper on but I hate :confused stopping for fuel all the time when traveling west in the winter. Thanks

Look through a diesel pickup magazine or two. I know there are at least two companies that make them, maybe more. Titan Tanks (http://titantank.com/) and Transfer Flo (http://www.transferflow.com/) are two. There may be others. They're not cheap. I have no experience with either one. I think the Aug 2007 Diesel Tech magazine had an how to article on installing one.

you will loose your spare tire spot..but you can add an auxzillary tank with ALL gm parts....you can go with either a 1 ton flatbed dual tank or the 3/4 ton suburban second tank...along with all hoses and fittings/mnts/ to make it im legal as well..final peice is to have the ecm/body module reflashed by the dealer with the same reflash as the donor parts came from..all factory..IM legal and very professional..have done a few of them..all sorts of different tank sizes are available too..just visit your local dealer and explain what you are doing....

I've used the Titans and Transfer Flow both...
Had a couple Titans leak at the seams, but they stood behind them.
Never had a problem with a Transfer Flow, and I think they are the only one's DOT approved. Or at least they used to be the only one. The Transfer Flow did hang down a bit more in front than the Titan.

I have the Titan tank on my shortbox Duramax. I love it! No more frequent stops for fuel. I would do it again. I am in the process of adding another aux tank in the bed...a 40-50ish gal narrow/tall type for additional fuel.

:)Went ahead & ordered 2 Titan tanks (1 for myself
& 1 for a friend) Ordered it from Terry over the phone. Super nice guy,
was very helpful. If your looking for one would definately recommend him!
Thanks again Terry

I'm rollin with the Titan 52 in my CCSB Dmax. works great, I love being able to go 800 miles before a fill.

My low fuel light comes on when I still have 20 gal sometimes. Learn to love your fuel used function on the DIC and have peace of mind to keep driving.

I know it can be solved with EFI Live, but I haven't gone that far yet.

I have a second generation Titan for my Chevy... holds 60 gallons, low light comes on somewhere between 10-15 gallons left. I don't understand why GM put such a small tank in their short beds. I've had great luck with my Titan tank... install took about 3 hours. Sure is nice to get between 600-1100 miles to a tank. When fuel was up to 5.00 a gallon it sure did hurt to fill... I only let it get empty once and then I learned to fill it at half tank. :)
