Dumb question

Have a buddy thats moving to Ak from Co. I have an old 87 indy sport I thought about letting him have. What all would need to be done to get it to run right at sea level from running at 10,000ft?

Jetting, clutching.. I guess what I'm asking it would it just be easier and cheaper to find more or less the same sled there vs. spending the money to make mine work there. I've always ridden in the mountains so I have no idea. :o

Long run he'll be better off buying a sled here...it would cost less than $100 to set that sled up for here...but it still wouldn't be much fun.

We ride mountains as well, but ours start at sea level.

I think he just wants it to dink around. He has a young family and will most likely use it to pull sleds and take his lil girl for a ride. He knows it's not going to do anything crazy, I figured he'd have to rejet it and mess with the clutch. Free or not I just didn't want him to get there and have it burn down in 5 mins. Just wanted to give him a heads up of what will need to be done.. If it can be done for $100 I bet he's game..

Thanks :beer;

The directions will be written under the hood on the left side or on the belt cover.

I forgot all about that.. Sheesh...

The only thing its done for the last few years is move from one spot in the garage to the other.

See... It was a dumb question.. :D

Nah...I once helped a friend swap out every electrical component on an AC 900. We gave up and the dealer fixed a kinked gas line for us...:rolleyes:

I think we have all forgotton to turn off the kill switch...:p
