Just wondering if anyone is running a dual sport with MH kit in the winter and back to the pavement/dirt for the rest of the year. If so what bikes are you using?

Yes with DS bikes
Have been using a KTM 530 since '08 for both snowbike and light weight dual sport. At this time over 14000 miles on the 530. 9000 miles plus DS miles and at least 5000 as a snowbike. 2 seasons as a 2Moto and 3 seasons as a Mountain Horse. So far so good. Ride a lot, had 2000 mile (gps) snowbike seasons plus many DS rides in the fall.
Many upgrades that work for snowbikes and DS rides. Such as upgraded stator, headlight, handguards, jetting, exhaust, battery, just a few upgrades that work for both sports.

08 KTM 450 EXC-R. I ride it on the street a bit, lots of logging type roads and some single track, I've had it in the dunes and now its a snowbike too, I stripped off all the signals etc for winter. The new KTM 500 looks the the ultimate 1 bike solution to me for DS and Tsled sure there are lots of better single track bikes out there but if you can only own 1 bike and you do a wide variety of riding its pretty tough to beat the street legal KTM's. MY 450 doesn't owe me much.

Thanks for the input so far guys. Im trying to figure out if I sould sell my two bikes and sled and just have one super toy ahahha. Would make life and maintence alot easier.
