Dual Lock Velcro??

I just got a Cyclops Solstice helmet light and it has Dual Lock Velcro......

Any tricks to lock the two strips together??

The two sides are the same looking hook type pattern opposed to regular velcro having one furry catch side and the other with the short hooks.....

I can get the front edge to lock with the reciever pad that I attatched to my helmet.... And work it from one side to another but it's like arm wrestling to connect this stuff.... Does this stuff ever lock well when it's locked though.....LOL

I've never used Dual Lock Velcro.... It was a surprise since I had to remove my old Velcro reciever pad on helmet, which sucked cuz I wanted to keep my stator powered Cyclops light as a back up......

I don't want to force this stuff to hard and ruin something.... Not sure if you can..... I honestly feel Dumb asking for help..... I'll Blame the Christmass Cheer.......

LOL

P.S. I just went outside to do a dry run with the battery in my inside jacket pocket and the light on the helmet..... WOW is it ever alot brighter than the old one!!!! And the joy of not being tethered to the sled is a treat!!!

Where did you order it from? Sounds like I might need to get one.
As for the velcro ?--I don't have a clue. Just thought that would help.

I ordered it from Rod... OTO Performance... He goes by oregon800polaris on here.... Great Guy to Deal With!!!! He drop shipped it to me from Cyclops http://www.cyclopsmotorsports.com/

The Dual Lock is crazy stuff.... It does not hook up like regular velcro.... at first I thought maybe they made a mistake and shipped me two of the same sides..... But after about 5 min's of messing around with it I got it to lock..... and I mean Lock..... LOL

The helmet light is expensive with battery pack.... I went with the Solstice.... I had the old one with that was stator powered.... I'm sure the Solstice is available with Stator Power at a lesser price.... But Man I'm stoked on this helmet light!!!! I run a diamond S mesh hood and the stock polaris light weighs a tonne a big reson I went with the mesh hood.... although the stock hood without the light is actually quite light on the IQ/Raw's.... The batteries with the Solstice are suprisingly heavy.... But seriously.... It is Kewl and worth the money for me....

You Get what you Pay for.....

Seasons Greetings!!!!

Let me know when the snow gets good and I'll head up.
I'm almost thinking of something like that for the boy. I put a Dynaport pipe on his sled and it is a little longer and I can't fit the lights in front of the hood anymore. But I was wondering about burning out the stator by taking the load of the lights off.

I still run a small light for load balancing..... and I keep my grip/thumb heaters on most of the time.... If you don't have a stock light and the price isn't too gross I'm sure you'll love the Solstice.... Not to mention walking around with the light from the Cabin to the Sled, and if there is a break down on the trail..... Sucking two stroke smoke when your stressing over a part gets a little annoying.... LOL

The old light still sticks to the reciever pad.... Added Bonus.... The old light has the furry velcro side and sticks to the hooks...... I'm stoked that I only have to carry 1 battery with me now and preserve the second one..... 2 hours is fairly good lighting time.... and if it's not the Stator Powered Old one still works as back up....

I know there are other companies out there like lead dog and a few other more high end lights... but I like the looks of the Cyclops and it is as rugged as all heck....

I'll keep you posted on the conditions..... I'll be riding more in the new year now that I'm getting caught up on some of the stuff I didn't get around too this fall.... LOL

Cheers
