drop bracket

i was looking at my sled and noticed that there are two holes drilled in the drop bracket for the suspension mounting curently the suspension is mounted in the froward hole and was wonderin what differance changin the mounting locale to the rear hole would make.... its a 166 track if that makes any differance

i belive that your 166 should be in the REAR hole...the fwd hole is for the 144/151 tracks...

anyone else side with me?

I gotcha! I suppose it's possible his rails have extensions from 144 to 166? Otherwise yeah, drop bracket should be @ back holey. Could lt1malibu clarify?

The rear hole IS for the 166... I believe the front hole would be for the 159 tracked sleds.

Remember the 144/151 sleds use a different, shorter tunnel. as we saw in Danbot's thread a couple weeks ago. At that point the 151 would use the rear hole and the 144 would use the front hole in that setup.:beer;

yeh wifes 159 uses rear hole as well.

i think the drop bracket is the only one they make and use it on all the 700-900 tunnels..

glad to see i created the debate its a factory 166 anniversary addtion currently its using the forward hole and it doesnt look like the rear hole was ever used judging by the paint in the hole I was wondering if using the rear hole would change anything on for handling or ride height

i am no suspension expert by any means...still lack severely in that dept.

but...i would move it to the rear hole FOR SURE...i would think it would help the skid transfer better since it has more of an angle for the suspension to move...

cant spit out what im trying to say...lol...

just move it to the rear hole, lol.

Can it actually be moved to the other hole or does that require a different mounting on the suspension rail as well?

dont really know if anything needs to be changed just saw the holes and was wondering what they do... lol im pretty new to sleddin and tryin to get the sled dialed in im wanting to get the timbersled rear kit for next year but for now want to play with set up and see what i like to get the most of this sled its tough to figure out since i cant make a change and then just ride out my shop
