Will the driveshaft on 2010 assault fit on my switchback assault 2011, I know the design is different but I think it's just to shave weight.

Can someone confirm me if The driveshaft will fit on my switchback assault ( plan to put 146 track on it)?

Thank's

The '10 is SAE (inch's) the '11's they are metric. They are different in many subtle ways. From memory the '10 is wider, to wide to fit in the '11. Drivers will not interchange, As their are small changes in size causing one to be too tight and the other too loose if interchanged, although I can't remember which is which.

The '11 will likely fit in the '10 if you re-center the drivers. The '10 maybe able to be used on the '11 if you re-center the drivers and shim the bearing out under the driven. Which may then cause full shift driven clutch interference, I have not tried either one. Just thinking of possibilities for you.

The Pitch of both tracks should be 2.86" so if that is the case it is just a matter of changing tracks. Unless there is more to what you are planing to do, than you are telling us.

Update: I did not realize the flatlander models were still running 2.52" pitches, sorry for the misinformation.

I was running a 144x2 polaris track from older model (from edge rmk) on my sba but lug are too soft. I was thinking about a 144x2 challenger. I just dont know if the 144x2 challenger is good in hard snow.

146 inch track just give me more option
will it Worth the money???

If you want a lug that's taller than 2" you don't many other options. I would just swap the drivers to a 2.86 pitch. Either drivers from the aftermarket or ones that someone took off a PRO-RMK. Then you can go to a 146" 5.1 if you can find one or a camo extreme 2.5 or even the peak 2.5

Thanks

Bryan.

Just press on some new drivers. I have Avid 2.86 8 tooth.
1.75" ripsaw for home
2.5 Camo x coming for out west
You'll need the anti stab kit as well
