i would like to put a 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 track on my switchback assault. so i will have to switch to 2.86 but is dropping down to a 8tooth driver enough?

Drivers

You only have to switch drivers if you switch pitch.
The camoplast extreme and peak tracks come in 2.86 pitch so you can just switch tracks. Leave stock drivers in.

thought the stock 144x2in track was a 2.52?

Stock is 2.52, i would say go with whatever the 2010 Assaults had.

Does the Switchback Assault have 9 toother's (2.52) ???

If so, you should have no problem running the 8 tooth 2.86 drivers.

What year sled is this?

its a 2012, it has 9tooth stock.

I wonder if a 146 track would bolt right in? Challenger extreme 2.5 146 would be cool, not sure if there is enough room for the 2.5 lug
