i need to replace drivers on my nytro what drivers should i get

with your screen name i assume you have one of those fancy air pumps. Avid would be my choice. Top notch stuff and robbie is a great guy to deal with. Second would be wahl brothers but have heard they dont last as long under boost.

How well are the stock Nytro drive shafts holding up with Avid drivers? Anyone see failures?

I never heard of any problems with the shafts. Advids are what you want just talk to rob first about timing the drivers.

I have Avids but needed to use drive shaft locks cause the drivers kept walking on the shaft!

What exactly are locks you are referring to?

Running avids with no modifications on the stock shaft boosted for 3 seasons no issues at all.

Walking off the shaft ? Never seen or heard of that ever. I have run a 2006 stock Apex shaft with a set of Avids for 6 seasons. I just bought a new set for season 8. No issues ever. Avids are better than Wahls imo.

Can I use and Apex shaft on a Nytro, are they the same?

What exactly are locks you are referring to?

There was locks that came on the RTX sleds that will fit. I have heard of some walking on the shaft of the higher boost sleds.

I was just giving my sled the once over in preparation for the first ride of the season and noticed my drivers appear to have moved on the shaft also. I found this thread and wonder how common an occurrence this really is. MCX 270 Nytro with Avid drivers. Wrote all the measurements down and am going to monitor.
