Drivers hitting rails.

I tore the rear suspension apart on my 06 M7 to powder coat the rails. I also put in the HRP relocation brackets. Took pictures of the skid before I tore it apart, to make sure I got it back together right. Got it back together and took it out and heard an aweful grinding noise at certain times. Looked everything over, tightened the track, went back out and still did it. Turns out the drivers are hitting the front of the rails. What did I do wrong? Looked at the pics and everything appears to be together the same as it was.
The only thing that has changed is the addition of the HRP brackets. I also noticed the limiter straps are way loose. Please help! Thanks

I had same exact problem, take off your rail caps and trim them down 1/2 in or so should be good to go. I just kinda rolled them against the side of a chop saw wheel and they trimmed down easily.

thanks, I know a lot of guys have done this mod. Has everyone had to trim the tips of their rails?

fix

something doesn't sound right. I put the relocation brackets on my '05 and had no issues at all. maybe the 05 to 06 rails were different? Also watch your rails after the powder coating process, two buddies of mine had them done and quickly went out and twisted them up under normal riding conditions. probably too much heat during the process.

i was thinking the same thing, they heat the rails when they powdercoat any chance they've got a bow now???

That makes sense. They do seem like they are tipped up a little more in front now. maybe that's what happened. I guess I'll trim the tips and run it, and hope for the best. Thanks for the input guys.
