Need some Polaris guru's help here.

Can i bolt a stock 2016 Axys drive shaft into my 14 pro?

buddy is upgrading his track and needs avids, so i will be putting a 2016 2.6 in my 14 pro and want to install the 7 tooth drivers.

So instead of removing drivers from both shafts, we are thinking of installing his into mine than my shaft into his Axys with the new avid drivers.

Will this work or do we have to pull drivers from his and press to mine?

Thanks in advance

Side note. How much of an upgrade do you think a 2.6 163 would be over a 2.5 camo(9104M) 155?

9105M is a 163 not a 155.

Going from a 155 to a 163 will always get you more float, if that is what you are talking about, trade-off is less "flickable" LOL. That debate will go on forever 155 vs. 163, depends on where you ride and typical snow conditions.

If you are talking the 2.6 track over the 2.5 Camo Extreme track same length, I believe the 2.6 is softer and will get up on the powder a bit better but you will pay the price in terms of durability and downhill braking in spring riding conditions. I run the Camo Extreme tracks but in the stock 2.86 pitch, both in 155 and 163 lengths that is my preference, easy to switch out, durable as heck too, better bite and braking in spring conditions without giving up much if any in the deep powder (just use more finesse on the throttle) but everyone has their own preference... and opinions... going to be switching out a stock Polaris 155 for a Camo Extreme 9104M on 2015 Pro today if I get the time...

My bad, i meant the 9104M(fixed above).

I agree with most of what you are saying, i love my camo 2.5. always rode 155,

but i actually now have the luxury of trying the 163 2.6 with gear down basically free (just had to buy rails). buddy is upgrading his axys so we just put everything from his onto of mine.

If i prefer the 2.5 camo , just switch back and sell the rails. i just put the new track and shaft on today, i definitely like the 7 tooth driver(with 2.6) clearance in the tunnel much better than my 8 tooth with the camo.

Ill log 3 days with this 163 after Christmas and make a decision then.

The axys shaft bolted up no problem, just need to use some of the hardware from the axys and the axys bottom sprocket bolt, as it is much longer than the pro. (the threads on axys shaft are much deeper)
