drive belt on rmk 600 ho 2008

hi,

i have a rmk 600 HO and i was checking my drive belt, its worn out and sitting on the snowmobile is a 3211115 and my spare one is a 3211080?

is the 3211080 stock for the rmk 600 ho 2008? and can i use it`?

i have googled the 3211115 and this is what i found:

Use the 80. The 115 was made the same time as the 900 fusion to help it from eating belts. It's made for the higher hp/tq motors. I've used a 80 on the 600 IQ CFI with no problems pulling 107 mph.

so i have used a drive belt that is for a engine with more TQ and HP?

because i dont think it has ran as fast as it should, and my rmk only has 500 miles on it. i bought it used so im not shure if the previos owner changed the drive belt.....

1115 is the correct belt for your sled! The 1080 is a close match but not the same size. The 1080 can work as a spare to get you out of a tight spot, but I would recommend running the 1115. I know of some people that have re-shimmed their clutch to run this belt, so you may want to see if this has been done. My guess is that this has been not been done so I would give the 1115 a run. The 1115 is better than double the price than the 1080 but will run a long time.

use the 80 belt it will work just fine for your 600. i hjave a 174 hp 800 and run the 80 with very good luck. it is not worth the extra bucks for the 115 and it also is a harder belt and will cut in to your clutch. your clutch life will be cut in half with 115 at $446.00 for a clutch you can buy more 80 belts.

115 is the correct belt. polaris makes another belt that is the exact same the 115 just made out of different matterial and runs $60.00 cheaper. i believe its a 022

i agree that the 321115 belt is not good on my clucthes, i will try the 3211080:)

i tried and i think the snowmobile feels abit snappier with the 3211080, maybe its just me...

I wasn't impressed with the 1080. It lasted about 1/3 as long as the 1115 I first had.

I also believe that the 1080 can tend to grenade when it fails which can damage your sled.

3211087 CLOSE TOLERANCE VERSION OF THE 1080

IF you like the 1080, I would suggest the 3211087, same compound as the 1080 however it's a CLOSE TOLERANCE version.

1080 belt

Just took off my 115 and ran new spare 1080, but 1080 is shorter and narrower. The 1080 kicks in harder too much drive clutch clearance. I'd rather not have to shim the clutch. The 122 belt is same size as 115, but have not tried it. I'm thinking about it though. Check out "belt poll" under IQ there is a polaris belt chart there good imfo. I did run the 1080 for 5 days this week in snowies mostly 10000 ft
