DPMS Oracle ????

I personally am not a hunter or really a gun guy type. I have never figured I really needed a gun because if something arose that I felt like I needed it I would go buy one. Well here we sit with a corupt government that wants to take that away. So here I am. At the point that I can still get the ar-15 i want. So I want to go buy one.

The one I am looking at an have located it s DPMS Oracle.

Anyone know much about these?

If it is in stock I would go buy it if I was you, because it won't be there for long. Dpms is a good brand. Last week I looked into a AR all manufactures are about 18-24 months out on ordering one and by that time who knows what the gov. might do.

Yes it was in stock I held it in my hands on saturday.

Shoulda bought it then. My advice to you, look privately tonight when you get home. If you find nothing then call in sick and go buy it. Only problem is that you now have to deal with a 6 day wait for the check. Hence the private purchase.

I ordered another one last month, if I'm still able to take ownership of it, it will be built by December '13....

like these guys say, u find one buy it. i have not seen an ar on the shelf any where around here since the newtown shooting, hell some places ain't had them since the election. aside from some odd ball rifle sizes and some shotgun shells u can't even get most ammo around here, not even .22lr . that prick in the white house is one hell of a gun salesman.

It's a Catch 22. Ramp up production and sell like crazy or ramp up production and have those idiots you voted for (regretting that now?) create a ban and then a they have a surplus of guns they cannot sell. If I were them I would have spent 2012 ramping up production of mags, rifles and ammo and released them in mass quantities as soon s they new year started.

Well I called the gun shop I was at this weekend and was going to have them put the gun on layaway but of course it was sold. . . They informed me to not panic. As they will have more the end of the week and they said they will be cheaper. I talked to another gun shop locally here yesterday as well. The gun I talked to was a prick. I told him I had found one for a certain price and he said what in the world is that gun shop thinking they could be selling it for double. So I wonder. . . Shortage yes. Gun shop owners with huge markups.. . . No doubt huge markups. I guess I would think that gun shops would want to encourage getting guns into peoples hands as there is always business after the sale.

Either way the gun shop I saw the DPMS at won't have the oracle in Atacs camo like I want. . . So I may have to wait. I want to ATACS Camo one.

Buy one now. Then get the pieces in the finish you want and do it yourself. If you wait for a specific color or finish you will be waiting forever and possibly missing out all together.

I never was a big fan of DPMS personally but due to our current situation there are worse. I think rocky mtn sports has a few on the wall. 307-686-0221. They ship. Also last time I was in their they had a few M&P15T's. I'd recommend that above most other brands from vast personal experience.

If you want to see what it might be worth go to gunbroker.com and do a search for DPMS Oracle. Watch a few of the auctions and you will see what people are paying for them.

Manufacturers are increasing output, as much as possible, which isn't much.

As explained to me from a local dealer,the reason they aren't increasing output is that their are actually a large number of rifles accessories etc already out there... Dealers call these items phantom orders. Generally for every item "ordered", a dealer will order in a couple from multiple distributors, to fill that one order. So, if a buyer hits 5 different shops, then buys the first one that shows up, their may be 10+ "phantom" orders not sold, but never the less, being shipped around. This goes on for awhile, then eventually these items will end up as stock, and or sometimes even sent back to the distributor.
The manufacturers can't account for the phantom orders, and essentially can't afford to have hundreds or thousands of items returned. Especially now, with the threat of ban's...


Help yourself get what you want, contact all your elected officials ASAP, and often! It's crunch time, and some serious work needs done to help skirt this 2A attack!!!!
