DPM Manifold

Has anyone had problems with their altitude compensator? When I leave the parking lot 8200 rpm as we go higher shift speed lowers.Climbing under load
rpm can vary from 7000 to 7500. Changing clickers has no effect on rpm.
Changed manifold from buddies machine and it would hold 7800 rpm every time
Any ideas.

If you have a leaky manifold, you would have bogging. It would be running rich. how is the throttle response?
You could cap off all the ends, and put a few pounds of pressure in the manifold. then spray with soapy water and see if bubbles form.
I know doo has a test procedure of this.
