we keep our sleds inside a shed with a bunch of moth balls and mouse poison.

Store mine in shop with covers on during the summer and on open trailer with covers on in winter. I need a guard dog like Pfunk9 has, mine will show you where the keys are and help you open the door if you scratch her ears
Mine is always in a heated garage in winter, other wise its in my shed with a concrete floor in the summer.
I feel fortunate to have a 30x40 heated shop that all my toys are stored in. When I'm done riding for the day, I run the sled right into the shop and put it up on rollers. The rear roller has a 1 1/2x3" steel bar that straddles the skid and keeps the paddles off the ground from bending. Sounds anal, but it works nice. It's an 07 M8, but I still treat it like I bought it yesterday.

Inside the garage with the wife and other necessityes. 
They go from the trailer to the shop to thaw out and get a goon inspection when I get home from a ride then back in the trailer till the next weekend.
Stored in a garage in the winter since im always working on it, but over the summer I put it in my shelter logic http://www.shelterlogic.com/Product...58d-4d4d-84c2-9fa90104449b&CategoryName=Sheds Its the next best thing to a garage and with a carpet on the ground its gets treated the same
