I have a friend who knows how to take National Geographic TOPO files and make them basemaps that can be downloaded to a GPS. Recently, I sent him the UT trail system and here's what he produced:

I've seen lots of UT posts where people say "don't wander too far off the main trail unless you know the area". So whether you're new to UT or not, I think this may be useful. I know I'm one of those who likes to wander through the trees and can already see (in my first season here) that the Utah terrain sure makes it inviting to just keep going and going and going...
