Could be, might not be. We are in uncharted waters. I had to protect my principle. I still have 60% of my 401k in the market & still made a sh!tload today.

I know that my 401 was down 22% and my father inlaw is in a rotten A$$ mood over his 401 being down 100K.

So now that things are going back up Gas may as well go back up too.

I paid 3.19 today for regular.

401's are to be used for the long term, there are bumps and hiccups all the time, not many this big although. If you look at your 401 too often you will not do yourself any favors, you also need to make sure that you are investing in them correctly as well, the older and closer you are to cashing out, the safer the investment types you should be in.
