I was thinking of riding Dotsero for the first time this weekend, does anyone know how the snow is there. Do you just head north up to coffee pot road to park? Thanks for any info.

just head up coffee pot road. Now its best to head up the road about 6 miles. if you look on colorado sled city, it will tell you the latest snow conditions and the last time I was on there it also mentioned parking at the 6 mile marker lot.

Head North from Dotzero, take a Left on Coffee pot and then (currently) drive up to the 1/2 way parking lot up about 6 miles. Pack extra gas as you'll ride your sled 10 miles up the boring road from even that 6 mile parking lot. Once up on top, find a good spot to top off on fuel, leave the cans tucked away and ride forever. Bring a good map and compass if you don't have a GPS if it is your first time up there. You can get turned around pretty easy up there. Even though the snow set-up a bit, it is nice and high and gets a bit of a wind up there to keep the snow light and dry. you can find some good stuff, untracked, nice cornices the further out you go. 30+ miles one way out to the good stuff (in my mind).
