My 2011 pro 800 was losing rpm. Cleaning exhaust valives and this is what right piston looks like looking in. Any comments or suggestions would be great. Maybe I need to take exhaust y off and get a better look. 128psi and 120 on other is compression. Thanks

It don't look ok to me, however when looking at pics it's hard to tell sometimes as oil streaks can look like piston damage. Can you reach your finger in and drag a fingernail across the skirt diagonally and detect any roughness at all?

Those are definitely toast, time to freshen it up. Have you been using oil at the normal rate?

Certainly toast, whether the issue as well was lack of lubricant or perhaps dirt? If sled doesn't have the fix Kit then get it in!

Yes using oil. They are rkt replacement pistons put in about 700 miles ago. The snow was really deep Thursday. We were all bogging . Couldn't keep the intake vent open. That being said maybe it's from snow ingestion. That pic really can magnify it to look worse also I think.

Still way too scuffed up. With only 700 miles, the cross hatching on the positions should look brand new.

Water ingestion is usually on the intake side. That piston is junk. Check oil pumps working.

Got it tore down yesterday. Intake side of pistons are scored also on both sides. Ring land started colapsing on one side. Pistons have oil on them and oil in bottom end. Cylinder has streaks with one suspect spot I can feel very lightly with finger nail. Will have to get it inspected.

make sure you check the oil pump function and delivery and also "important" replace fuel filter as that will cause lean condition to score the intake side of pistons. I had this happen!
