yeah, i really wish the admins here were a little more... involved... rather than just being "the admin", be a member of their own community

Most of the other forums i'm on are like that...
 
Yeah, the admins over there are just as "involved" as the regular posters. They are around all of the time and they give you fair warning if you cross the line. They just don't stay invisible until somebody complains or says something bad.

Yup real nice to have a bit of warning before poof and it disapears.

Trolls try to disrupt, destroy, or change threads to fit their own agendas.

They often use techniques such as:
  • Flooding by excessive posting
  • Attacking regulars in a group
  • Attempting to divide and conquer
  • Threatening people
  • Spreading rumors
  • Violating forum policies
  • Posting under many aliases
  • Disguising their headers
Trolls have serious personal issues that lead them to try to control others.

Trolls don't hang around in forums where people don't respond to their rants.

The best way to deal with trolls is to IGNORE them.​
