Does everyone have problems with deals on swapmeet??

Just wondering if you have had alot of problems lately on swapmeet?? I've bought and sold tons of stuff on here with few problems. Lately i've had several people say they'll take something and it's a done deal, then they won't respond and never hear from them again. It's frustrating because i strive to be honest and fair, but this sucks.....

When selling stuff, business is business. First come, first serve and money talks. Too many people are wishy washy, say one thing and do another to trust them anymore. I won't hold anything for anybody unless they give me a deposit or come to my door with money. Thats the easiest way to protective yourself from being screwed.

I've noticed this year seems to be even a few more tire kicking... think the economy probably plays into this..

Like mentioned before.. If i have interest in the part selling.. I require a deposit to hold it... just works easier that way IMO..

Swapmeet is seems like its been picking up speed lately.. everbody getting stuff ready.. and selling old.. :D.. MUST MEAN THERE IS SNOW SOMEWHERE...

I have been buying and selling a decent amount of stuff lately, mostly good so far. Only had one thing thing that a guy told me he was going to buy and didn't.

reverse

some reverse tire kicking for me. i saw the 144 x 16 in tracks told him i wanted it and nothing? ill just keep posting it ttt till he maby stops ignoring me, or whatevers going on?

I have bought and sold a fair amount of stuff, never any problems but once we are done swapping pm & emails I always finalize with a phone call. Definitely not 100% but you can kind of get a feel for honesty and integrity. Haven't been wrong yet but my time might be coming?
I have backed away from a few deals after a phone conversation to.

have been stroked on here by guys for days, 500 questions, payments on the way, my dog died and ate my cat...

I have had awesome luck on here so far....yes you will get a million questions, but that's the name of the game when buying/selling from far away. Tire kicking is synonmous with internet sales/shopping...jsut the way she goes.

The only thing I've had happen, was the post office lost a money order I sent to a fellow and it took forever to get them to admit that it was simply gone. Honest mistake, but definetly a big waste of time. Them are the break, however, when dealing from afar.

I agree with all of you, just don't why people post on a thread, I'LL TAKE IT. So to everyone else it appears sold. Then you can't get ahold of them, then you basically loose that sell and a future one. I can understand pm's but not on a thread. Sorry just venting. thanks....

If I dont have solid communication with a buyer or seller I will have nothing to do with them.

All my transactions have worked out well but, my last three attempts to buy something have ended up with crappy sellers so I walked away. Their loss shrug.....

I agree with Tuesday. I tried buying two sleds from someone on here claiming he needed to sell and never followed through at his end. Without paper i can't pick up in the states!!!

Well I had alot of people that had parts I was looking for never part it out or never answer my PM's . Some tell me oh next week and I never hear from the . Ohwell I guess its their loss.

This year i bought a sled from here, and before meeting them, i admit i did ask a zillion questions to insure it was in the condition i expected it to be. But as long as your selling the quality your asuring then the seller should not have a probelm with this as i really don't feel like driving 10 hours to see that i am being sold a pile of Shat
