I own an '05 Summit X 800 HO and an '07 Summit XRS 800R. Lost a crank bearing in the '07 (know issue in that model / year). Got a new engine under warranty and it's running great. I then seized the engine in my '05. My bad...I installed an RK Tek drop in piston kit, broke it in with Ski Doo oil then went back to Amsoil Interceptor. Should have read the instructions!!! RK Tek instructions say NOT to run Amsoil! I'm going to run Ski Doo oil from now on.
Even though I've had my problems, both sleds perform well. So far, I wouldn't run anything else. Ride it like you stole it...if you always worry, you won't enjoy yourself as much! Don't ride alone and you'll never be stuck.
