Does anyone else's dog get wierd in the spring?

My Lab cross is going to be two this July. She's fixed. I can understand spring fever, but man she's getting wierd. Is this normal? She's very restless, and doesn't listen all that well since the snow started melting. Also, she's having a real issue with bladder control, where she never has before.

Does this sound at all like she's just excited that it's spring, or is it something I should be concerned with?

Thanks guys!

If by "weird" you mean jamming out to music from "Pablo Cruise" then yes!

id say that its got alot to do with the warmer temps and snow melt. Its changing around her and possibly she's excited or trying to adjust

LOL......Retrievers typically don't fully mature until 2 years of age. So you're still seeing a bit of the *puppy*. The bladder thing, is that happening when she gets excited (people to the house, or getting in trouble)?

We got a Golden recently.....she's now 4 1/2 months old. :) I've picked up *several* books and been reading (actually on my 4th one :face-icon-small-blu )......very interesting to read the different stages they go through at different ages (listed in months).....up until 2.

Friends lab has just started drooling alot since the snow melted. Think there is a bit of fungus spores and pollen in the air right now since the thaw.

thanks guys! I took her for a goooooood run with the quad tonight when I got off work, and she seemed happy. I think maybe she just needs some wicked excersise once in a while....

My springer gets goofy as they come this time of year, she always gets groomed in the spring and that really makes her feel good. Must be the warm weather, she got a hold of my fiance's stuffed horse and went to town on the poor thing and she's female!. Anyone know if there is counseling classes for stuffed horses? He's pretty messed up, hasnt been the same since.;)
