Does anyone else hate insurance companies as bad as I do?

I 've got it! we could call the goverment heath care progrm somthing like " No Pateint Left behind " kinda like the no child left behind act that way our kids can be the dumbest, most unheathy genereation ever! or maybe we could make it part of the Social Security Administration. They have really done well in preserving that so all Americans can enjoy the benifits.I know I counting on that for my retirement! Gosh I cant wait for the gov. to take over just gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling all over !!

Stop trying to fix the world and spend that money on yourselves. The US is kind of like the Roman Empire. They were so busy taking care of the rest of the planet that their own back yard was in ruin. The US is going to consistenly be paying for it's mistakes of the past. And it's paying for it big time with human life and uncountable fortunes. The US's best days are behind it.

you have to check with your hosp. each state is diffrent. here in il a program called charity care was formed. goes by a poverty level. say your a single man, limit is $10,000 a year. everything is written off from the hosp. then go to the dr and he by law has to reduce the bill, maybe 50%. some hosp. will give a 250% to 400% poverty. so the level goes to $25,000 to $40,000 a year. also, some take the house and other bills minus what you make and come up with their own level. hosp. are mostly non-profit and they have to write of x amount of money.( in the millions) or they dont get the gov. funds of 40% taxe write offs. so writing of 5 million a year is nothing when they get 60 million from the gov. for their hosp. was passed by lisa madigan here (sorry about spelling) alot of people qualify but dont know. always worth a shot that can save you lots of $s. she has also told me times were a simple letter to the finance dept. can get your bill written off if they need the write off or if they are in a good mood. have written off 40,000 bill after a letter was sent, and alittle backround info. but like i said, diffrent states and hosp organizations have many diffrent plans. hope it helps

Colorado has what they call "indegent care program" It's health care for people with very limited incomes. Meanwhile, the rest of us get to pay through the nose for insurance.
