So I got pretty bored lastnight and started looking at my sled and decided to make some vents. My question is do any aftermarket companies make vent kits like this for the M? I made my own out of some window screen and rivets. What do you guys think?

like them alot think that should help to keep that clutch cool!!!

Great idea! I have one question though, why would you need to put in the screen? Really no way for snow to get in there. Open holes would let a lot more hot air out.

I guess I just put the screen in there for a something to stop the snow if somehow some did find it's way in there and get on the belt/clutches causing the belt to slip. I havent done the other side yet so maybe I'll just cut out the plastic vents and leave them open with no screen.

I think most of the mesh hoods are open on the back side. If people dont have problems with the back of the hood being open I would think you would be ok with no screen.

That is why I think the stock holes were enough.
You might need to open the front also to allow the air to circulate--otherwise the hot air will not be pushed towards your open venting you created..
Good Idea-- I think Timbersled makes a kit to fit right where you made your modification

I was and still kinda am considering putting some flow rites in the shock tower.
Timbersled does make a similar product to this but vents on the removable side pannel like so

We will build vents to customer specs. We machine 2 pieces of textured plastic and glue together with screen in the middle. That adds a little strength and they will fit either side (no lefts and rights).

Timbersled makes some great products. Vent kits are NOT one of them. KEE-RAP, those are ugly!

Chapman, your vents look pretty sweet! Great idea, and nice job. As for those who think you should leave the vents open as no snow will get in there, all I know, is if there is an opening, I can find a way to pack snow in it. :D

Venting.

Here is a shot of some more venting on the M chasis.

Here are a few pics of some vents that I have available. I have more pics of the vent kits we offer for the m-series in the swapmeet area under hoods/windshields/bellypans. I think I have an extra set of frames for the area you cut out, shoot me a P.M. For more info and pics of Mo-Flow vent kits p.m. me or email moflowvents@gmail.com.
