Does aftermarket exhuast make a differance

Getting a pc v and thinking of getting a slp pipe, y pipe, and can to go with it. Or is the stock exhuast just as good. If so what are advantages with aftermarket exhuast? Can you notice the claimed hp? I have a mbrp can will it work with slp pipe instead of buying the slp can?
 
Your ability to tune the sled is far more important than the value that you will gain from your stock pipe to an SLP pipe. The biggest net gain is simply ridding yourself of the weight and restriction of the factory can assuming what you put on agrees with your sleds system. You already did that so now we just have to hope your sled is running in tune with what you have. IE without a fuel controller, and EGT, serious experience on tuning, and a dead on quality clutch package you will not feel or notice any legitimate value in a single pipe over your stocker. Once again this mostly depends on how your sled runs now.

I guess there are actually two answers:

Will you feel the true HP gain...hard to say see the first comments...

Is there a true HP gain or can there be a true HP gain. Answer yes in ideal conditions dyno testing shows that you can accomplish a gain.

Buy the $20 subscription to dynotech research. You will see the comparison between dyno results on PC-5 vs SLP Single and PC-5 with SLP single...I would just tell you but like many people have stated, and I agree with it, Jim is running a business and this costs money!!
