Thinking of putting on a y pipe on my bone stock 07 m8. But i hate when you lay out a couple of hundred bucks, and there is no difference. I have read 5-6 hp gain to 2 hp gain. So i am wondering if someone out there has done just the y pipe. And how it was. Thanks.

Y pipe does make a bit of a difference but not much I recommend buying the whole pipe kit, Really wakes the sled up. i would also do the clutching on a 07 it sucks RKT or cutlers for clutching then sled will run awesome

If you ride at high elevation than the Y-pipe does nothing. Your better off spending you money on clutching and saving up for a full pipe kit.

x2 .. put a D&D on my 07M8 and all it did was reduce the underhood heat some.

Just adding the Y pipe will not do much on it's own, especially on the 07M8. I always recommend a set of reeds with a Ypipe, any brand, but my choice is BMP Y pipe, Boyesen Reeds, stock pipe and aftermarket can. It is a cheep way to go and lots of noticeable changes.

Thanks for all the input

I have a tiny crack in y pipe. I was going to weld it or replace it with after market y pipe. I am done with adding pipes and reeds. never noticed that much gain for all the trouble.

If you only have $$ for one mod put SLP powder pros on your sled. You will notice a huge difference in handling and be able to better use the power you already have. You will also float way better in deep powder giving the feel of more power. Best bang for your buck out there IMO

don't know about just the Y pipe, but can tell you the full slp makes a big difference, especially at 6,500 when you can actually hear the power valves open:)
