I'm looking to buy a riser today, could anyone tell me if the stock brake lines and throttle cables will need extensions? The sled is a 1990 650 SKS Thanks!

Yes, they will need an extension of both. With a 4" riser they will both be way to tight and with cause stress on lines and cables. They easiest way to extend both is to get a stainless brake line that is extended a little extra than 4" and the "powermadd" throttle extension is easy to use but give it A LOT of extra cable for throttle but is the least expensive route and can be tamed with some zip ties. These are the parts that I have used on my sled and they work just fine.

2" basic "block" style should be ok. If it is a 2" + a pivot bracket will raise it and will be closer back to a 4" riser. So if you arent looking to dive into brake lines and throttle cable just stick with a 2". I'm guessing you are just running the factory bars which should work just fine.

i did a 5in on my 97 700 rmk and only had to do the thrttle cable i just moved the brake line for more room. i just cut the steering post at the top put a peace of pipe that fit over the post that was as high as i wanted . welded it and new throtte cable and done for less then 15 bucks

Installed a 3" riser on my '96 Ultra today. I clipped some of the zip-ties and moved around the brake line, wires, and throttle cable. Worked perfect. I think if I had installed a 4" riser, I would have been at the limit of the throttle cable, requiring an extension.
