Does a 16" track handle as good as a 15" one?

Those that have already swapped to a 16" track on the Nytro does it still handle well or has it made it harder to toss around. Am considering a CE, and having a hard time choosing which one. In the snow conditions I have been riding I have enjoyed the stock track, but it's shortcomings are there. I don't think I will be going longer, but might go wider if it does not affect the handling adversely. Opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks

The 15 wide handles better period----- go longer if you have to but a good 15 wide powder track will probably be all you need.
Any sled I ever rode with 15 wide and 16 wide the 15 wide always carves and turn and side-hill's better. This is the most noticeable in set up spring conditions.

I'm curious about this too. I'm going to drop to a 144 on my Nytro and can't decide between the 144x15x2.5 or 144x16x2.5. I been told the 16" wide works better but from what I've owned, ridden, and seen there are to many variables(mostly rider ability) to really make that much of a difference. My old 800 Rev had a 136x15x2 and that sled went everywhere. Plus the 16 wide weighs quite abit more, so the 15" should pull more track speed.

When I went to 16" wide on my sled, (Viper not a Nytro) it made no change in side hilling. However it made a huge improvement in floatation! The wider foot print also helps keep the front end up, enough that you can actually dial out some of the transfer in the rear skid if desired. Only draw back I've noticed is top speed is slightly reduced, not that it matters much.
IMO, if a 16" will fit in the tunnel, it's worth it to put one in it.

I put the 16 wide maverick on my Tcat and the handling isn't much different than the 151x2x15 that I had on it. I am a big guy so that may be the difference but I actually think the 162x16 is easier to handle even boondocking because of how well it floats in the really deep stuff. everyone is bagging on the Maverick but for $400 Delivered to AK I gave it a shot, 400 miles not a single missing lug and none bent over either, I do try to make sure I take the weight off of the rear suspension when not in use in the garage, works great never going to own another sled with a 15 wide.

Was wondering the same thing for going to 162". Has anybody measured the paddle faces between to the two?
