Dodge mega cab or chevy duramax

what did you pay? i'm not seeing any good deals on diesels here in mn. bighoe said he bought a new hemi for 40% off of sticker in bozman. i'm not seeing any deals like that
 
I paid 16000 and my 99 1/2 ton GMC but I am happy I finally got a diesel!!!!

but iw as going to add that the torque of the cummins is awesome, i liked mine when i had it and the powerstroke i had i liked too just not as much. But i found i wasn't rich enough to own a dodge or ford with all the parts i needed.

I like chevy because they have been bulletproof for me and tow just as good as my other two diesels i had. a little more money up front saved me big in parts. For the mpg my dmax is right up there, i average 21 empty and with 18 to 20k i get around 12. I've got it above that but i can't support my right foot very long:rolleyes:

As for the new dodges i have seen great runners and ones that live in the shop like my grandpa's but there are lemons in every brand.

what kind of prices are you finding on the 07"

I saw you already bought but to get back to ya I just drove an 07 6.7 auto rolled over to 4K while I was driving. Lifted brand new wheels and tires they were asking $34K but I'm sure I could have gotten them down to at least $29 but it was the wrong color so I didnt waste my time. Thats at a big dealer used for sale by owner aroung here lifted and what not under 30K miles have been starting at $27-29K and pretty negotiable
 
I've thought about buying a new Dodge Cummins. I'm just not sure if I would want the extra length of the Mega cab and I think the shorter 4 door looks better. Anyone feel that there is a serious draw back to the regular 4 door other than a little less leg room?

it's way less than "a little less leg room." The looks change completely with a leveling kit and 35's or a lift. mine is still 100% bone stock, and looks the dorky part, but what's a guy gonna do? go into more debt for looks? hardly...
 
Sounds like I need to start shopping out west. I've got my eye on 2 MC's, one is over in Rochester, MN and they want $47k for it but it's loaded with leather, sunroof, DVD, Navigation and even a carpet like bed liner (List was $59K) this one has 6,000 miles and is an 08.

The other is a 07, 6.7l auto also but without the bells and whissles, 7k miles and they want $38k for it. I've seen 08's with 0 miles at Dave Smith listed for around 32.

I've yet to drive one though, if I can find the right color and right interior then I might get that serious.

......the main difference for me was the much smoother ride on the mega-cab, especially when pulling a trailer on the interstate....the qc has a buck to the suspension when hitting the expansion joints at anything over 55, depending on the particular section of road.....the mega smoothes all that out

leg room? who cares the seats recline. makes a world of difference on a long road trip.There will be a megacab 3500 in my future but waiting for a new body style and updated interior.possibly a twin turbo 6.7 for 2010 is what i heard.
