My mother and sister especially tend to worry. However, over the years they have learned that I'm a pretty cautious rider whether I'm on my sled, dirtbike or what have you.
I've explained to them that I never go looking for trouble and I do ride smart. I have also informed them that the sports I enjoy are inherently dangerous. Were something to ever happen, they know that I was doing something I enjoyed to the utmost.
I certainly cannot ride at the level that many of you do. I am smart enough to know this. And don't go out of my way to put myself in harms way. I'm also very well prepared. Always carry extra gear and first aid equipment. I'm typically quite prepared to spend the night.
