Do you need a programmer with the fix kit

I'm gonna put the fix on my 09 Dragon, its got the SLP pipe and can on it with the bigger air horn on it will I need to put a box on it after the kit is installed thanks

You should put a fuel controller on it anyways. The stock fuel mapping is scary lean at certain RPM and the addition of the pipe and increased airflow likely isn't helping the situation. Fuel controller should be added to these sleds before a pipe is in my opinion. In many cases a properly designed map has netted a better HP gain than a pipe anyway. Again, just my thoughts on it.

I had a burn down end of last season, so the latest reflash was done and only had a couple rides after. Does the new flash run any richer or should I still get a box. Thanks again

Personally, I would still get a Power Commander. None of their maps really fixed the issue. They are trying to meet EPA standards by holding the exhaust valves closed and feeding it an extremely lean mixture. All the maps they came up with were just attempts to address stumble and hesitation issues.

IMO get with PMS and they will tell you to install 08 head with 08 flash.

I have 09 dragon 800 with Fix kit, 13.2-1 head, slp pipe can, PC5. I tried to tune the 2010 flashs and could not get it run good. I had my dealer load a 08 flash and cleared the PC5 map and it runs great. I'm still going to tweek on the PC5 map at idle and 7000-8250 RPM. So the PC5 gives you the tools to fine tune.
