Do You Miss This Guy?

I for one miss the hell out of this guy. Fixed Carters economic nightmare, crushed the Communists, brought down the wall, and put the fear of the US into Iran and Lybia.

That is the best pic of him. I wasn't old enough to vote him in his first term. I dam well made sure i voted for him his second. There is not one president in our countrys history that can hold a candle to him. Where are the stand up leaders like him now. Our country needs someone like him now more than ever. If you didn't watch the video post, i would suggest you do. It compares the current economic condition to the one he took on. What is going on now is the biggest load of chit! and the Dems know its true. He is rolling over in his grave looking down on us from the pillows in the sky with a tear in his eye.

With no disrespect to the late great Ronny Regan I would have to say Abraham Lincoln could hold a candle to him. Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, James Madison, George Washington and FDR were all pretty competent as well.

FDR's legacy was helped by WWII. His programs in the 1930's to bring us out of the Great Depression were largely ineffective.

No President is perfect though and they all have skeletons in their closet.

I would have to agree with your statement, except for the misconception of FDR as Shortstop corrected. As far as ole Abe, i may have to disagree. He is granted fame for putting an end to slavery with the Civil War. The problem with that is that, is that the Civil War was not predominatly fought to end slavery in this country, it was also fought over the economic situation between the North and the South. Abe was a fine leader, but there is just way too much more about his story then what is written in the history books.

Good Pic there Live

I served under a number of presidents in the USMC and Regan was by far the best.Clinton and carter the worst, under nobama I would respectfuly terminate my comission and walk away there is no way I'd serve under the Jack azz's in office now

I cant agree with every policy of any president and being a constitutionalist many of FDR's policies were abhorrent but I cant fault the mans leadership in times of crisis. The Great Depression and WWII were two of the darkest periods in the history of the country but the man understood how to LEAD. That is something only a few politicians, Regan being one of the few could actually do. As far as Lincoln is concerned the Civil War is a horror on a scale that we can hardly imagine today, as far as the reasons why it was fought are debatable. But the fact that he was able to preserve the Union to allow all citizens to have a discourse such as this is why in my opinion he was the greatest man to ever lead this country.

Abraham Lincoln? The killer of American's? Do you see anywhere in the constitution where it's OK to kill people from states that don't want to be a part of the United States anymore. (this isn't to infer that Jackson almost didn't do the same) The south wanted out, because they were being treated unfairly. The North sent troops to force them to stay in. I'm sick of all the Abraham Lincoln worship. A 100 years after, it all turned out alright, but a true leader would have corrected the South's issues, without resorting to killing Americans. History is repeating itself, the metro areas are forcing the rural areas to bend to their whims. Maybe Obama can be the next Lincoln, and kill Americans too.
