No you don't, but apparently you have to pay cash for the sled and not finance it.

I'm financing mine, no feeling superior from me.
Being a flatlander just make sure the sled is set up to handle were you ride. Taller lugs, less bogie wheels ect = more heat when not in fluff. Buddy of mine added bogie wheels to his pro just to save his hyfaxes when it comes to the ride in and out. On another note depending on what size track you are planning on going with you lose some trail manners despite what anyone tells you. Now if your post if full of sarcasm, yes you better be a pro with your go-pro on!
On a off topic note, it must still be summer with the hot topic on snowest being if you or daddy pays for your sled outright or if you finance. Being how I can't read the rest of the nonsense post I might have to tack on to my sled loan to finance a snowest subscription...wait, there are other free forums out there still.

No but you need to be a pro at pulling your wallet out to buy lightweight parts
I hate to say this but I have done that before but what goes around comes around. I have also been on the water end too.

I wish I could be a PRO rider. I ride a PRO but at times I amuse myself at my amateur skills, sadly been riding for 15 years and can't ride like the PRO's. best advice, do not try and best the other guy that is how you get hurt or wreck a sled, been there done that.....
