Do you have an Avy bag and Trail bag?

For those of you who have an Avy bag, do you wear it even when going for a ride not in avy terrain? sometimes I go on rides where there is no chance I will be in Avalanche country, but I pack a lot of stuff in my backpack, things that I dont want to transfer back and forth, things like my SPOT, GPS, first aid gear, small tools, little spare parts and such.

Things like tools and first aid gear can easily be duplicated for both bags but there is nothing I hate more than forgetting some of my gear, and it is human nature to forget things, and Murphy's Law states the time I forget something will be the time I need it.

I hear you on forgetting stuff, I am the same way. One thing that helps me is a checklist I put in my phone with all my stuff that I might forget and can't afford 2 of. I have a Snowpulse Vest and really like it. Everywhere we ride there is at least a small chance of avy so I always wear it. I only put what is essential in my pack as it can get heavy quick. I put everything else on the sled.

We ride with our Snowpulse bags regardless. The packs are light enough and it's better to be safe then forget to pack a critical item.

I ride with my avi-vest on every ride. It so comfortable for me.

Sounds dumb, but i like the vest concept and comfort so much that i went out and got a tactical vest to use while quad riding.

I carry all of my stuff all of the time. Even when just out ditch bangin. Feel naked without it!

I always carry my float 18, it weighs a little more than a regular gear pack but its worth it. We were on a safe creek ride today and had two small 20-30 degree hills slide, I never thought these hills would drop but.... The first took the sled and rider down into the bottom and partially covered the sled.

Needless to say I don't care where were riding, coming home is the most important thing to me.

I also have a second beacon, shovel and probe and put them in my old Ortovox pack and strap it onto people who don't have Avy gear. I tell them I carry a shovel and probe to dig you out, u get to carry them to dig me out...
