Do NOT go onto the cars.gov site. Here's a video to show you what happens. Look at the screen from the actual gvt site in the video. They supposedly took it down after this hit the Net, but as Judge Andrew Napalitano says in the video, we don't know that they actually stopped doing it.

It's in the Privacy Act and Security Statement. "This application provides access to the DoT CARS system. When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal computer system and is the property of the US Government. Any or all uses of this system may be intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected and disclosed to authorized CARS, DoT, law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of other agencies both domestic and foreign."

The difference between this and the black Suburban parked outside your front door is the government is telling you upfront about it. That`s a good change in my opinion.

That is the same thing when logging on to a military site too... Pretty standard for "You have no privacy when using this system"
