Do M Series Ski's fit on the 1M?

Thinking of getting some second hand ski's off a 2006 M7. Would these fit ok on my 1M? Anyone know much about the stock ski's from the 06 M7? Im looking for a ski that gives a bit more floatation in powder than my 2003 1M stock ski. ANyone know how wide the M7 stock ski's were? I think my current ones are only 6" wide and seem alot smaller than everyone elses that I ride with.

Yup, I second that, bolt right up and work great. Make sure to grab the ski bolts from the M sled, seems like they were longer than the 1M ski bolts.

2009 M1000?

What about ski's off a 2009 M1000? Will they bolt straight up to a Mtn Cat?

The M7 guy sold his over the weekend but I found another set for sale.

Anyone know the dimensions of the 2009 M1000 stock skis? 7" wide or just 6"?

They will fit also, all Cat skis from ~92+ will interchange.

I'm not sure of the dimensions, but I think all M series have used the same (or nearly) ski. I'm not sure they're an upgrade over the King Cat ski, but they're no worse either. (yes, I've run both)

If you're really after a better ski, I'd look at something like the SLP powder pro.

Hmm, maybe its just my model but the skis I have look thin and are quite flat all the way along until they get to the nose where it turns up a bit. Compare this to Powder pros or other skis ive seen and they all have a more "bowed" shape to them for more of the length of the ski.

Im pretty sure (just from pictures) that those M series skis are much more "bowed" than my current skis.

Either way, Im trying to get out of buying some new skis for $400 as opposed to a second hand pair that have only done 300 miles for $150.

:D

I'd go with the M-series skis

I bought a set to use on my KK. They work great, and are the lightest thing out there. If you want the heaviest, go with the Simmons. Depends on where you like to ride? Groomed/ trail vs. not. Skis are not your best bang for the buck. Enjoy!

Skis

I put the M skis on the wife's '01 800 and they were a good improvment over the stock. I have the powder pro on my '04 900 and really like 'em.
