do i pull the trigger??

I had a friend grab some AC oil for me once and when I was pouring it in noticed he wasn't paying attention and grabbed some 50:1 old school oil, luckily I caught it other wise could have cost me motor. Thought I'd add it to make sure you sure you knew.

Hey all i'm a buddy of hotrodredneck, finally convinced me to check this place out, checked out the M1k tonight, and all i gotta say is WOW pretty impressive cant wait to see what it'll do

i'll try to figure out how to post a picture on here later. but right now i'm still enjoying the dry humping!!:D

Congrads on your new sled, I'm sure your smile will get pretty big the first time you hit the snow! APV oil is pretty pricey. Most any of the syntetic oils will work very well in the sled and most cost less. Non of the engine builders have their own refiners to make oil, they just give out specs to refiners and take bids. I used to haul oil out of Gopher oil St. Paul. They had 13 different colored barrels coming down the same line!

Start reading, I love mine but it is probably the easiest sled to burn down, My 07 ran great and then fell apart and I had to learn a lot about tunning a big twin. Its heavily modded and your asking for problems, would not recommend it to a newbe. But good luck

Always let it warm up( couple easy miles on the trail ) and never let the egt's get above 1250, the 1000 likes the 1160 temp at wot, and run apv oil.
It will take more than a couple rides, at least 4 if your agressive before you actually start to use all the power.

true true. the big pistons don't shed heat like the little ones do! keep them big ol' slugs from getting TOO big! ha ha  make sure you keep an eye on the temps on the bigs pulls. you'll get used to the power soon enough. as noted, the weak link on that sled is the reverse diamond drive. get the DD-lite for bullet proofness if you don't mind loosing reserve. it'll feel MUCH lighter too.
