thanks for the itemization of the pork....

INCREDIBLY disappointed in McCain...had a chance to draw the line, name names, and possibly put an issue on the table that could have carried the election and sent a MONSTROUS message to DC...instead he passed...he passed the pork!!!!!!

However, on the other hand McCain was getting POUNDED in the polls and the media was lableing him as the reason the dow crashed and such. If we had a real media that reported the truth, I do think the bailout wouldn't have passed.

Do you really think the government would simply shut down if they banned tags, addons and fiveaways??

Where did that come from? Yah, government would stop, mail would not be delivered, IRS would fold....

I could see it taking much longer for anything to get done in congress though... We think they are slow now....I think it would take them a while to figure out a new system of compromising...

yeah but maybe the bill passed would vagualy resemble what was being approved...and thus allow them to actually stand for something vs. allowing them to squirm on every answer...
