Dish Network - FX - WTF?!?!

Starting November no FOX sports programing. Go to the Dishnet website!!!
This might be the last straw for me. Trouble is not much out there any better.
 
I am piss3d about this as well. I don't watch a lot of FX, but still!

Honestly, I am looking for a Dish receiver if anyone has one to sell. I prefer it be a DVR version but would take anything.

I kind of question if this would be a reason to get out of your contract. You pay for X but really don't get all of it.

If FOX is missing I will be gone myself.
 
Heard on the radio that as of Nov. 1st they are also dropping the local Fox stations. Has anybody heard any more on that?
 
I guess everybody knows, that they came to an agreement with Fox, and we already got all the stations back on Dish. FX, Nat. Geo., and they worked out some deal for the next 4 or 5 years there saying.

Does anybody have that slingbox DVR they just came out with? I'm very interested in this. You can watch your satelite on your phone, or any other devise you can get internet on. Dish is the only company that offers it right now.
 
You can get into your DirecTV receiver with your Droid wifi and brodcast your phone screen onto your TV.

WTF???? No but I stayed at a hunting camp once or thrice.
Scott, I am going to have to steal one of your kids to teach me all this stuff.

That's exactly opposite of what I want. There's thing's on my phone, I don't really want my kids/wife seeing. :face-icon-small-hap I wanna be able to watch my tv on my phone. If I'm up camping, and I wanna watch the football game, I'll be able to.

Also, it will be nice to be able to watch tv at work now.

This is a little off topic, but has anyone noticed that you get DIY off and on with Dish? I had DIY for a few weeks and now its gone, been gone for a few weeks now. I'm fed up with cable/sat in general and cant really justify the $110 a month bill. Once Im out of my Dish contract I'll be dropping it and getting Netflix. $20 a month for unlimited movie rentals and a ton of TV shows you can stream live, sounds like alot better deal to me. I'll have to kick it old school and break out the bunny ears for local programming.

Not sure if you knew or not...but old school is dead. It doesn't work anymore.

I haven't had cable (never satellite) in 5 1/2 years now. I do the Netflix thing and love it! :) I can get Disney shows, National Geographic, Discovery, tv series, plus movies. They just keep adding more and more to instant watch, and my queue is well over 300 now. :face-icon-small-sho

That's not really an option if your a sports fan. I have to watch my team every night, and I'd be broke if I had to go to the bar to do that.
 
Very true on the sports thing....though I find it does save me that extra stress if a team isn't playing well. ;)
