Grizztracks has a gusset kit for the Nytro's that improves subframe strength to the point that bending becomes a non issue. If you notice this is mostly a problem with the 08's. I run a '10 and 11 Nytro and everthing is still straight.....and I have banged it off a few "very" solid objects over the past 2 years. The newer Nytros are much better.

Diamond S is great, but if it was me, I'd get grizztracks' kit and use the balance of the money to lighten the beast.

OTM.

I've had several reports of bent subframes even with the newest frames. I wouldn't install a new frame without adding a few chromoly gussets.

Any pictures of your gussets and bent frame? The gussets I've designed are just over 1 lb. They are made out of 10 ga chromoly steel (4130) and are easily welded in. Over the past several years I've helped out many Nytro owners with these gussets and so far I've had no reports of bent frames.

PM or email me if you need additional info: grizztracks@roadrunner.com

Lets face it its a $hitty design from the crap bushings to the way the arms mount to the sled. I braced up my Nypex subframe simmilar to what is shown in these pics only I added a few more gussets. The way I figure it is a strong Cromo a-arm is the last thing you want on one of these sleds cause it just sends all the force to the subframe. A guy would be better off with thin wall disposable a arms. I've bent at least 3 of the subframes so far. Just ride it bent it makes no difference and when you hit something on the other side it'll fix itself.

Would there be any a arms that would work best with nytro subframe strength wise? Titanium arms would prolly give before subframe? I'd rather keep spare arms than spare subframes

I guess that depends on your titanium arm builder! I prefer titanium over chromoly any day.

I ran the chromo. sub frame and Ti a arms. Sub frame was light but missing alot of mounting holes/tabs. Broke 3 sets of lower arms. He stood behind his work until the 3rd set.

So if one of your ski's is further ahead then the other there's a good chance your sub frame is bent? There anything to else to look for to make sure? I am thinking mine may be bent as well

I have had one in my sled since 08 with no problems other then a few missing mounting tabs. I have since busted 2 a arms with no damage to sub frame.
