Dilema. Input appreciated Carls 660 or '10 Assault

Then there's guys like me who have their bulk head crack for no apparent reason what so ever.... I have heard from others about how strong the bulk heads are, but I have had the opposite experience with mine.

Do yoy know where the crack started from? That is something that usually does not just happen. How old was the sled?

I'm not sure where it STARTED, but here's pics. It looks like it started on the outside and was working it's way in. I know! That's what gets me. Guys were saying it might be from bottoming out to hard. And it would make sense, if the sled had been bottomed hard. It never has. It's had Fox floats from when it was almost new. So I really don't know. Here's also a few pics of what I had done to fix it. Polaris paid for the welding.

Mag side was also starting to crack in the same way.

I'm told they also found a crack here. I didn't see it before they welded it.

my assault started to crack in that EXACT same spot on the pto side. i know for a fact that it was from a really hard bottoming. i remember think after i hit "ouch...i gotta take a look down there." and sure enough...crack. i had it welded up like you did and have never had an issue.
