Diffference between 2012 ans 2011

Is there anything thats different between the two. New to Polaris so any info would be great.

Just bought a 2011 with 500 miles. Besides running a little extra oil and the TPS issues what else is there to look for. Any updates or recalls need.

Thanks

There was an update/(recall) to check how the oil line is routed. Take your vin # to a dealer and see if that was done. Beyond that, keep your throttle cable tight, and adjust your chain. With that milage on it, if it hasn't been adjusted yet, it's mosl likely loose by now. Other than that, add fuel and enjoy :face-icon-small-ton

For longevity... I would bond the chaincase to the bulkhead on the 11... standard on the 12 and replacement chassis.

This helps to strengthen that area and keep the tunnel from buckling behind the chaincase....Aksnowrider (mike) can tell you about this.

And how would one go about doing this. Are you talking about the fancy glue process the Polaris uses.

I saw one of these "connectors" today on my friends 11 Assault. Looked very simple to do. If memory serves me correctly he said it was from SLP? If you need me to check with him, let me know.

Sitting on the sled looking forward, there was a "connector" from the front left side of motor, extending forward toward bumper. It was about 3-4 inches long and fastened somewhere to the bulkhead I thought. Was tough to see, but he showed it to me while changing weights.
