Are there any differences between 09 and 10 D8 stock pipe?? fitment or performance?

i know the can mounting bracket is different.
Pretty sure the only difference is the way the can mounts. You have to use a 2009 can with the 2009 mount or 2010 with 2010 mount. You can buy the mount separately.

Well I am trying to mount an 09 pipe in 10 D8 with the 10 can and it isn't even close to fitting. Pipe seems to be too short. It pulls the can off the mount and the spring tabs are too close together.

can the mounting bracket just be modified to fit the 09 can?
im going through the same thing, when ever i get my sled back from the dealer think im jus gunna buy the 09 bracket and mount it with bolts and lock nuts instead of rivits jus in case warrenty calls the sled back to the shop, it will be an easy swap back to the stock pipe......although, i havent priced out a bracket yet, wonder how much

The situation is I had a turbo on this sled which I took off and sold to a guy with an 09. We just switched pipes sowe wouldnt both have to cut and weld. Turns out the 09 pipe is shorter than the 10. Guess it is on to plan B
I think it changes the angle and where it meets. That is the can mountain brackets moves things around. You might have to buy the other year of bracket.
