23 vs 24 9r Pro 165

Depending on what you figure I paid for the 2023. Bought it with 2 years warranty for less the everyone is asking for their use 2023 with 1000-1500 miles and no warranty. I can sell my 2.75 and the upgrade is $0 - $500.
My brother has 3 9r’s 2-24’s and one 23.
Zero difference in performance or reliability between them.

I believe that the 9R is generally a less smooth engine/clutch than the 850 (NA or boost). Not sure why that is... maybe engine, maybe clutch. All of the above create a bit of a rattle trap. But, it's the best NA sled ever made.

Hope Poo can get it together to keep them running long term.

I would agree! I love my 9R Pro 155.

As far as clutch, I have had no issues with my P-22 but have decided to be pro-active and just spend the little money on the black bolt and swap out every 500 miles and check torque on bolt every few rides. I'm use to a self adjusting secondary from my years on an Alpha and won't go back

Not to go too far off topic, but I do believe the evidence in unbalanced clutches being manufactured and installed on most sleds is causing most of the issues.

The primary bolt is just a retaining mechanism for the press fit nature of the primary onto the crankshaft interface which is what's failing. And that fails because clutches are out of balance. This has been discussed at length on this forum.

So, either maybe send your clutches off to be balanced, or don't be surprised when an unbalanced clutch spins off.

$3500-3800 more for a 2024 and you only get 1 year warranty I went with the 2023. I can up grade track and scratcher cheaper myself

Thanks
I picked up my 24 holdover boost and it came with 2 year warranty and delay start at Nov 30th 🤷🏼. Maybe a Canadian thing? I asked on an extra year from my Poo dealer ant it was an extra $1400 usd. I stayed with the factory 2 for now.

Oh, and another dealer was trying to sell me a holdover 23 same spec for almost the same price I negotiated on the 24. The 23 came with 1 year + 1 year extra in powertrain only. For me the 24 was the best bang for the dollar.
