Difference in flash ? Dealer recall re-flash VS. SLP flash ?

Dealer recall re-flash VS. SLP flash ?


Can anyone shed some light on what was changed,, original stock 05 Fusion 900,,,, then came the dealer recall re-flash,, then SLP came out w/ theres.

the slp flash is for the slp pipe set up the dealer reflash is for the stock pipe set up.

Yes, thats true.. But my question is a little deeper than that.

Original stock flash: What was the problem w/ it ?

Dealer recall flash,(that everyone got for free): What did they do, add more fuel, less fuel, timing ?

SLP flash: (yes i know what it's for, SLP pipe) But what does the flash make happen,,,, add fuel because the pipe leans it out ? ETc.......


Looking for someone that knows the details of these Cals.

the only ones going to know exactly what the flashes do is the manufacturer.

that said the slp flash adds fuel in the mid range 5-10% for the pipe and takes some fuel away on the top end 3-5%

So, was there just another reflash done for the 900's? Haven't heard anything til now. Mine is an '06 is it for all 900's or just the '05?

Im refering to the 2005 Fusion 10 recall bullitens. Mine got all, and one happen to be a re-flash to the ECM.

Just wondering what was wrong w/ the original flash,,,,, and i have heard you can gut your stock air box,, then put on an after market can, then get the SLP flash,,, and it as good as gettign the SL pipe, no differnce. Most people go ahead and pay the additional 200 for the pipe and you can get away w/out it.
So my technical question is what does the SLP flash do ? Fuel ratio/timing, etc.
