difference between 07 and 08 Summit 800R exhaust cans

I thought I read somewhere last winter that the cans were the same except for mounting tabs. If that is the case can an 07 be modified to fit an 08?

I have an '07 HPS on my '08 XP if that helps

I just bought a new 07 MBRP can for $135 that I am going to try on my 08.

It comes a little too close to the chain case for comfort, but if you play with the springs a little, you can find the right combo to pull the can away from the chain case and toward the front of the sled. Good luck
