Alaska is now #1 in the nation....for highest prices! $4.47 today
From the local news:
Move over, Hawaii -- you no longer have the highest average gas price in the nation. Guess who's taking your place.
Monday's average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Hawaii is $4.24, about four cents less than Alaska's average, according to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
Hawaii's average price has dropped 29 cents from a month ago.

Those prices are over on Oahu, here on Maui we are still around 4.55

I'm jealous you are there in Maui, so It kinda makes me happy to hear you suffering some financial setbacks on your way to surf the north shore breakers,...save some penny's and go have a cheeseburger in paradise for me while you are in Lahina!

Yeah, you can have this island. I've tried surfing and its just not for me, lots of paddling for a 10 second ride. After snowboarding for 10+ years its just not my thing.

After living here for 2.5 years I'm fed up with the crazy prices on everything. I will miss the ocean, but the rest of the island just doesn't do it for me.

Diesel is down to $3.749 at my local station as of this morning. 89 octane (10% ethanol) is $3.699 and 87 unleaded is $3.799. At least it is going in the right direction. Has about another $2 to go before it makes any sense.
