Did Biden win, or was the election rigged?

An example of the mess. This is a ticking time bomb. I've seen first hand these tent cities in and around Denver. I see people sleeping in their cars all over Colorado.

With Covid19 increasing and the restrictions on evictions expiring soon next month could go really badly.

Again this isn't politics, this is a humanitarian issue. How can we help? Offer land to people for cheap? Think that is socialism? Well that is how the majority of the USA got populated. The western spread happened mostly from the Homestead Act. There is still plenty of undeveloped prairie and unused farm lands in this country. We should have the knowledge to prevent another dust bowl from happening.

Unused farm lands? What? did you really just say that? We need open spaces. We need undeveloped prairie, that's part of this great country and the biodiversity that exists. It does NOT need houses/roads/fences/pavement on everything.

You missed the point. I didn't suggest an extension of suburbs. I mentioned prairie and farms for a reason. Enhance the agriculture footprint. Teach these people that are desperate for housing to live sustainably off the land. That part of America is being lost. It can be regained but the start up element is too cost prohibitive. So a stimulus....

So like a true conservative feel free to **** on my idea because of the fiscal downside. Then think about how to get people out poverty without spending money.

No, you made a point now back it up with H4H facts because we are all familiar with that group. We suffered great depressions before and government stimulus helped prop it back up. It isn't perfect but nothing is. It isn't a blank check service. Even the act of giving land away had stipulations built into it. You should look that up. Oh wait, I like giving actual facts not wild goose chases.

Like Bloomberg said..."You dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, you add water, up comes the corn. You could learn that."

I never thought anyone would say anything that ridiculous again. Well Simple, you proved me wrong! LOL

Hard work doesn't get adults out of poverty. I love "self made" people who can't understand that one bad choice can take that all away and you can never get it back.

Hard work doesn't guarantee success.
However, lack of it guarantees failure.

Many of your statements makes it appear that you resent the fact that life isn't fair. Is that an accurate assessment?

Incorrect

Your intuition is usually off. Find balance. Try yoga or learn a new sport.

We just went and popped off a few rounds. Good to breathe and find center.

So if life isn’t fair, then I’m sure we can all agree on some social programs to help those who have had an unlucky shake, yet aren’t complete and/or self made losers. Right?

I agree with the premise.
Unfortunately, politicians would rather include everyone, even the ****balls.

It is no wonder that Trump connected with such negative people.

Who is this perfect American citizen you seem to envision? Would you clone them if you could?

Wonder if these poor babies ever heard of Sears and Roebuck ? I do and I also remember using it for toilet paper in the dead of winter as a kid .
Let's talk about that sport you so despise golf . Go ahead and look up Chi-Chi RodRiguez ( I know something to look up right ? ) and see how someone came from a place of nothing but poverty and death to become inducted to the World Golf Hall of Fame .

What was this about hard work ?

In Simple's simple view, we should all have the same comforts in life regardless of the risks we take, how hard we work or if we work at all.
That would be swell if it meant elevating the lowly, but the reality is that it means pulling down the successful.

Again being extremists. No middle ground huh?

I'm out. Talking to y'all is depressing. It isn't fun today.

Older generation doesn't want to help. Just collect your social security and bitch and moan about the old days. You probably don't even have a pet around to show love to. Again, depressing. Find some sunshine in that cloudy mind.

Hope

Who is arguing with you about working? We all work, get over it, it’s not special or unique in any way. Younger generation works even more than the old buggers, because now you typically need dual incomes to float an average family. There’s like 4 income options for an average guy:
- be dumb lucky
- work hard
- be dirt poor
- get hurt and milk some insurance settlement for the rest of your life

Thats it. 3 and 4 suck, so if you weren’t born rich, you are left with one option. Doesn’t make a guy special - literally have to do it to live and have a decent quality of life.

Anyone living off government cheese is in the “dirt poor” option, so there’s no reason to front like it’s some awesome alternative to working, where you’re out slamming beers listening to Travis Tritt on your boat all day while suckers are toiling away. Welfare here pays like $600 every 2 weeks and the crappiest illegal bachelor basement suite rental is like $750 a month. So you have enough for food...kinda. Sounds fun.
