well i cut about 3/4 inch off the rubber block that the bottom of the pipe rests on(between primary and secondary clutch)..careful not to much..pipe will rest on top pto side spark plug...lol..l did it in two careful cuts...have 1/2 to 3/4 inch clearance from pipe to sparkplg cap and 1/2 clearance from pipe(bmp pipe) to mesh hood bar...just going ta foil tape that area a bit...

ps..l did a thread in this forum...mesh hood mounting...put it in your search and check it out...works great for me

Diamond S Hood

Same problem on the 1000, doesn't actually hit the pipe but does hit the pipe cover. I took a piece of pipe and tapped a crease in the cover for clearance but you will still need to insulate the the hood or it will melt when you roll the sled. Banks makes insulation blankets in various sizes which will tuck under the tubing and save your hood fabric.

yeah it was hitting my pipe cover not the actual pipe and i cut the rubber block down and it gave me lots of clearance, but the insolated blanket sounds like a good idea so i will do that next.thanks for the info guys.
