Diamond Lake Today!!!!

It was awesome! So sunny, lots of fresh powder. Sleds ran great but we blew a tire on the trailer! We parked at Three Lakes and rode all over the place. Only ran into a few people. There was 2 feet at the park and lots more up towards Garwood Butte. We went off trail some and never hit anything!!!!

Ron, how did you guys fair over on Kelsey? We were gonna drive over but we got up there so late I figured we would never find you. Next time hopefully we will get outta town on time with out problems and can ride with you!

Must have been our group of 4 you ran into! 3 Polaris and one yellow Ski Doo! We saw one other group of two and some snow shoers. What a fabulous day!

Ya who ever was leading your group almost met the front of my sled pretty good. We both came around the corner and startled each other. It was not too close though. We went all the way down to Hamaker. There was plenty of snow but some dumb *** on a quad tried making it up through the real steep narrow section so it made it kinda interesting with their ruts.

Ron,
I don't know where to look at on Garwood as far as climbing it to the top. I know some people from Medford made it up last year so there has to be a hole in the trees somewhere. We didn't go in the warming hut. I didn't even know there was one out there but then I saw it as we went pst. We were gonna ride back up the fish creek trail from Hamaker but I couldn't remember which way to go and there wasn't enough snow to cut up through the trees. It was still an awesome day though and I can't wait to get back out.

I couldn't believe how many new sleds were up there too. Almost every group I ran into had at least one brand new sled in it. Some of the groups were all on new sleds!

Jerk, Now you have more miles on this year than I.
We are going to try to hit it thanksgiving weekend. Hopefully we will have 4-5ft by then. Suppose to snow again Wednesday, and then again later in the week. Glad to see you had a good time. Did you find a sled for your wife or are you using your dads still?

I traded one of my bikes for a sled so I can sell it to pay off my other bike then I am going to buy one for her. I rode it Sunday and it runs great so hopefully it sells fairly quick. So for now I am on my Dads cat and she is getting to ride my baby! I never even got to touch mine on Sunday! :-(

Must have been FST aka Cabin Crusher that about took you out!

Usually the warming hut is buried in snow and the only way into it is through a snow tube that you slide down to get into it. Just remember if you do, there is a wood stove at the bottom that will take you shins out if you hit it hard! ( I learned the hard way!) Thanks Rexberg!
